General Terms
Eligibility
There is no age limit for Business Users, however they must have the legal authority to enter into this Agreement.
All information provided during registration must be accurate, complete, and updated promptly.
Account Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and security of your account credentials.
Any activity conducted under your account is your responsibility. Unauthorized use must be reported immediately.
Prohibited Activities
EquiLink strives to maintain a fair and ethical environment. Business Users may not:
Engage in Fraudulent Practices: Misleading clients, false advertising, fake reviews, or collecting payments without providing services/products.
Promote Illegal Content: Upload, promote, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, incites violence, or violates copyright laws.
Circumvent Platform Policies: Attempt to avoid platform fees or commissions by:
Directing clients to complete transactions outside of the EquiLink platform.
Sharing personal contact details or external payment methods to bypass EquiLink’s payment system.
Encouraging clients to cancel bookings on EquiLink and rebook services directly.
Misusing platform features, such as messaging tools, for off-platform arrangements.
Violations of this clause may result in penalties, including account suspension or termination, and recovery of avoided fees.
Manipulate Features: Use fake accounts, incentivize biased reviews, or interfere with EquiLink’s systems.
Service Provider Obligations
Service Accuracy
All listings must truthfully represent services, pricing, and availability. Misrepresentation may result in penalties, including account suspension or termination.
Any requested refunds resulting from misrepresentation will be the Service Provider’s responsibility
Professional Conduct
Providers must maintain respectful and professional interactions with clients and other platform users. Failure to do so may result in account suspension.
Service Quality Standards
Providers must:
Timely Service Delivery: Services must be delivered at the agreed-upon time and location, as per the terms of the booking or service contract with the customer.
Quality Assurance: Providers are responsible for delivering services to the standard advertised, including meeting any industry or regulatory standards applicable to their field.
Clear Cancellation Policies: Providers must follow EquiLink’s cancellation and refund policies and adhere to them consistently. A rescheduling policy should also be in place, however this is dependant on each Service Provider
Liability and Safety Compliance: Providers must take reasonable measures to ensure the safety of customers, animals, and equipment during service delivery, complying with all relevant laws and regulations.
Insurance Coverage: Providers are required to maintain appropriate insurance (e.g., liability, professional indemnity) to cover their services and associated risks.
Dispute Resolution: Providers must cooperate in resolving disputes with customers promptly and fairly, following the dispute resolution procedure outlined in this Business User Agreement.
Customer Feedback: Providers are encouraged to accept feedback constructively, using it to improve their services while respecting customer rights.
Ethical Standards: Providers must uphold ethical practices in their services, including fair treatment of animals, compliance with welfare standards, and honesty in advertising their skills or facilities.
Confidentiality: Providers must respect customer confidentiality and ensure that any sensitive or personal information is protected and used only for the purpose of service delivery.
Non-Discrimination: Providers must not discriminate against customers based on race, gender, disability, religion, or any other protected characteristic, ensuring inclusivity in their services.
Adherence to Agreements: Providers must adhere to the terms of the business user agreement, including prompt payment of platform fees and compliance with EquiLink’s policies.
Service Continuity: Providers must ensure that they have contingency plans in place to avoid service disruptions, such as backup equipment or alternative arrangements for unforeseen circumstances.
Incident Reporting
Providers must promptly report any incidents (e.g., disputes, safety issues) that arise during service delivery.
Response Time for Bookings/Inquiries
Aim to respond to booking inquiries and client messages within 24 hours to maintain a high response rate.
Content Creator Obligations
Ownership and Licensing
Content Creators retain ownership of their content but grant EquiLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and promote the content within the platform or through EquiLink's marketing channels.
EquiLink will explicitly request permission from Content Creators before using their content in external marketing channels, including advertisements and social media campaigns.
Compliance
Content Creators must ensure their uploaded content adheres to intellectual property laws and EquiLink’s community standards.
All content must be original or properly licensed, and must not contain harmful, offensive, inappropriate, or unlawful material.
Accuracy of Listings
Content Creators must provide accurate descriptions of digital products, clearly outlining their features, intended use, and limitations.
Misrepresentation of content or failing to deliver what is advertised may result in removal of the listing or account suspension.
Refund Policies
Refunds must be offered for defective or misrepresented products per EquiLink’s policies. Content Creators are responsible for addressing customer inquiries.
Content Ownership and Copyright
Ownership of Content
All content uploaded, posted, or otherwise made available on EquiLink (the "Platform") remains the property of the user or the third-party owner. By uploading content to the Platform, you represent and warrant that:
You are the rightful owner of the content or have obtained all necessary permissions, rights, or licenses to upload and use the content on the Platform.
Your content does not infringe upon, misappropriate, or violate the intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
Grant of License
By uploading content to the Platform, you grant EquiLink a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and adapt your content for the purpose of operating, promoting, and improving the Platform. This license does not grant EquiLink ownership of your content but allows us to provide our services.
Prohibited Content
You may not upload, post, or otherwise share any content that:
Violates copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property laws.
Contains copyrighted material owned by a third party, such as photos, videos, music, or text, without proper authorization or a valid license.
Copyright Infringement Policy
EquiLink respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with applicable copyright laws, including the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we have implemented a notice-and-takedown process for content that may infringe copyright.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content on the Platform infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our help center. The notice must include the following information:
Your name, address, telephone number, and email address.
A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
The URL or other identifying information of the allegedly infringing content.
A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the content is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
Repeat Infringers
EquiLink reserves the right to terminate the accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers.
Disclaimer
EquiLink does not pre-screen user-uploaded content and cannot guarantee the identification of all copyright violations. Users are solely responsible for the content they upload and any resulting legal consequences.

Event Manager Obligations
Event Details
All event details (dates, times, locations, pricing) must be accurate and up to date.
Ticketing
Utilize EquiLink’s platform for bookings and ticket sales. The Event Manager agrees to handle the distribution of tickets purchased.
Event Cancellation Policies
In the event of a cancellation, you must notify EquiLink and attendees promptly. Refunds will be processed according to EquiLink’s policies.
Safety and Compliance
Ensure events adhere to local laws and safety standards. Liability for incidents rests with the Event Manager.
Payments and Fees
Commission Rates
Services and event bookings: 3% commission.
Digital products: 5% commission.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed via Stripe and transferred once services/products are marked complete.
Ensure payment details are accurate to avoid delays.
Payment Schedule
Per-Session Bookings: Payments for per-session bookings will be processed as monthly payments.
Weekly Payments: Weekly payments are processed every Sunday.
Monthly Payments: Monthly payments are processed on the 1st day of the following month.
Yearly Payments: Yearly payments are processed on January 1st.
Subscription Plans
EquiLink offers the following membership tiers, billed in USD:
Business: Free.
Business+: $15/month or $150/year.
Business Premium: $50/month or $500/year.
Currency and Taxes
Payments are processed in $CAD or $USD outside Canada. Business Users are responsible for currency conversion fees and taxes.
Featured Listings
Enhance visibility with featured listings: $15/week or $50/month.
Transaction Records
Business users can check recent transactions on their Business Home Dashboard for detailed payment information related to their bookings.
Refund Policies
All sales and bookings are subject to EquiLink’s refund policies. EquiLink reserves the right to issue refunds in cases of cancellations or disputes.
Platform Policies
Listing Guidelines
EquiLink reserves the right to review, approve, or reject listings to ensure compliance with platform standards.
Content Moderation
Content violating platform policies may be removed without notice.
Review and Rating System Policies
EquiLink maintains a review system for clients to provide feedback. Manipulation of reviews is prohibited.
Fact-Checking and Verification
Knowledge Hub Fact-Checking: Posts in the Knowledge Hub may undergo fact-checking to ensure accuracy and reliability. Verified posts will receive a “Fact-Checked” badge.
Business Verification: EquiLink verifies businesses to reduce spam and build trust.
Opportunity Post Review: All opportunity posts are reviewed to ensure adherence to EquiLink’s guidelines, including relevance and compliance with platform standards.
Marketing and Promotions
EquiLink may feature Business Users in promotional campaigns. By using EquiLink, you consent to this.
Legal Protections
Liability Limitations
EquiLink is not liable for disputes, damages, or losses arising from transactions between users.
Indemnification
Business Users agree to indemnify EquiLink against claims resulting from their activities on the platform.
Dispute Resolution Procedures
EquiLink will attempt to mediate disputes between Business Users and clients. Cooperation with dispute resolution efforts is required. EquiLink is not liable for any losses, damages or decisions made by either party during a dispute.
Termination of Accounts
Accounts may be suspended or terminated for policy violations without prior notice.
Non-Circumvention Clauses
Business Users may not engage in direct bookings or sales with EquiLink clients outside the platform.
Data Privacy
Data Collection and Usage
EquiLink collects and uses data to improve the platform experience.
Privacy Protection Measures
Business User data is stored securely, and EquiLink implements measures to prevent data breaches.
Confidentiality
Business Users must protect client information and use it solely for service delivery.
Compliance
EquiLink adheres to GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws. Users must also comply when handling customer data.
Term and Termination
Agreement Duration
This Agreement begins upon registration and renews automatically unless terminated by either party.
Termination
Either party may terminate with 30 days’ notice. Immediate termination applies to policy violations.
Post-Termination Obligations
Outstanding bookings or obligations must be fulfilled prior to account closure.
